The application operates by continuously scanning the radio environment when granted location and mobile data permissions. Its primary interface presents a dynamic list of detected nearby cells, categorizing each by its serving network operator and connection generation. The depth of data presented is contingent on the network technology in use. For instance, on a 2G connection, it will display Cell ID, Location Area Code, and signal strength, while a 4G LTE connection yields a more comprehensive dataset including PCI, RSRP, RSRQ, and signal-to-noise ratio. This allows for precise mapping of signal strength, handover zones, and network congestion points.

A key feature is its technology-specific decoding. The app parses the broadcast channel information from the serving cell and its neighbors, presenting technical identifiers and measurements that are typically hidden from the end user.
